The Vitus is named after the great Danish explorer Vitus Bering, who is known to be the first European explorer to discover Alaska. He has a plethora of his discoveries named after him including the famous Bering Sea.

The 2005 model is a blue hulled beauty! She has accommodations similar to that of a 42' in a smaller, easier to handle and more economical package. She is powered by a Cummins diesel and can cruise efficiently at 8-9 knots. Unlike our 32’s, the Vitus has bow thrusters to assist you in tight docking situations.

She has two staterooms, a custom four bunk configuration in the V-berth and two bunks in the mid stateroom. There is a single fresh water head and a separate stall shower. The galley has a stand-up fridge/freezer combo with a second door for the freezer compartment. The settee in the saloon converts easily into a standard double bed.

For beach combing, crab pot tending and your safety, she is equipped with an inflatable dinghy with an 8 hp outboard. Great for two couples or up to six guests total.

Common to all of our Nordic Tugs:

First and foremost, these yachts are built for cruising. Handcrafted with pride in Burlington, WA USA, their semi-displacement hull, hard chine, and full keel offer stable, comfortable cruising with amazing fuel efficiency. The elevated pilothouse and large windows offer excellent, almost 360 degree sight lines. Two sliding doors allow for easy, direct access to the deck from both sides of the pilothouse. All of our yachts are equipped with a diesel powered generator for your AC power needs.

Galley: All boats have a propane stove-top, oven/broiler as well as a refrigerator (3.5 to 4.3 cu. ft.), microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker. (except the Nordic Star has two refrigerators and an electric oven/stove and Stickeen has a propane stove top but a convection/microwave combo oven)

Exterior/Fishing: We outfit all the Tugs with the following: a huge 165qt. cooler, one crab trap, crab boiling pot and propane burner, rail mounted propane BBQ, two down-riggers for trolling, a fillet table, salmon net, fish bonker, halibut spear, gaff hook and a boat hook. (we have high end halibut and salmon rods available along with extra coolers and crab traps - all for a per charter, flat rate fee)
